Solving of Optimal Power Flow Problem Including Renewable Energy Resources Using HEAP Optimization Algorithm

This paper presents a novel endeavor to use the Heap optimization algorithm (HOA) solve problem of optimal power flow (OPF) in electricity networks. The key objective is optimize cost fuel conventional generators under system limitations. Various scenarios are studied later stage considering addition PV panel and/or wind farm with changing load curves during typical day. active output selected be OPF search space. HOA employed get best solution fitness function and provides corresponding solutions. modeling heap-based optimizer (HBO) depends on three levels: relation between subordinates boss, same level employees, contribution employee oneself. validity proposed tested for variety electric grids, IEEE 30-bus, 57-bus 118 bus These networks simulated various scenarios. Real curves, this study, considered achieve practical outcome. simulation outcomes evaluated tested. results indicate that implemented HOA-based methodology flexible applicable compared achieved by using genetic algorithm.
